Buiding and Grounds Personnel
With little time on our hands as it is, the active members spend most of their time training to keep up with the requirements set forth by the State and other National standards, that things like mowing the lawn, snow plowing and general cleaning of the firehouse have to be contracted out.
Individuals that wish to contribute on a steady basis, but wish not to respond to emergencies, can join as a social member and help out around the firehouse. Besides the contracted items above, there are other things that can be done under the heading of buildings and grounds.
Changing the message on the sign
Weeding the flower bed under the sign
Trimming the hedges
Washing the fire trucks
Inventorying supplies
Changing filters for the heating system
Ongoing maintenance and repairs of the firehouse
Some upcoming projects the Company is planning
Demolition of the old stage and expanding the truck/equipment bay
Remodeling of the kitchen
Removal of the old heating system
Landscaping project behind the firehouse
Installation of Dry Hydrants with in the Fire District
